Here’s the thing, I’ve owned this Mk7 GTI for four years now and it’s been rock solid until about two weeks ago when the gearbox started doing this jerky thing at low speeds and then a warning popped up on the dash that I’ve never seen before. I asked around and got the usual mix of responses, some guy told me it’s nothing, another told me my gearbox is about to die and I need to sell the car immediately. Very reassuring. The dealer quoted me something absurd just for diagnostics and I walked out. So now I’m looking for expert Volkswagen repair in Dubai because this is not a car you hand to someone who mostly works on Toyotas and hopes for the best, the DSG is a fussy thing and one wrong move and you’re looking at a very expensive replacement. I found a few leads online including a page that seems to specialise in VW work, but I’d rather hear from actual owners. Anyone had DSG issues fixed here and can point me toward someone who actually knows what they’re doing?
